Ever not wanted to have another boring day? Just add a little optimism, some ingenuity and there you have it – no longer stuck at home. Spitalfield’s Market has lots of little pop up shops selling everything from used vinyl to hand crafted jewellery and vintage clothes. Saturday is now called Spitalfield Style Market. There were supposed to have been many new designers to have joined the already existing shops. I did not notice much of a change. It was still a nice walk around though. Sitting at Starbucks in Spitalfields when Alquin messages me. We have never met in person, only on facebook. He shops at the World’s End boutique where almost everyone knows each other. We made plans to go over to the shop to have a drink with Lisa Reynolds the manager there and pick up some trinkets. The fun begins.
We bring a nice Gin & Tonic to the store. Lisa is there with her boyfriend Allistair, and there is a manager from the Vivienne Westwood Gold Label shop. We all get a little drunk and start shooting up the place. Some of the last few customers of the day come in a bug out with us. Lisa the doll she is gives me a free liberty tie pin – as I had lost mine recently.
After a day of shopping and wandering around the city, Alquin and I stop at my place for rest. We cook up some of the best Fried Chicken for dinner. After a bit, we decide to meet one of his friends from work at GAY in Soho. We wind up at the nightclub Heaven for some dancing.
