So my last web design client dumped me because I was lacking in the .php. So now I am struggling with the bills, but that will be fine until I get home to NYC. I can live off my student loans and scholarship. I took a four day weekend to Prague recently, where I had the time of my life. I was very unhappy when I landed, during the bus ride to the hotel. It looked like a bunch of warehouses, with a starving economy. I was very disappointed, until I stumbled into what I think to be the city streets of my life.
Prague is one of the most spectacular places I have ever been. I love to walk around the streets in the evenings at dusk. The sky twinkles with starlight, while the street bustles with interesting folk. It is an absolutely friendly city, although the differences in language cause uncertain distances. I met people from other cities, like Poland who spoke other languages, so we were often at a loss.
I only went for a four night weekend in November. I stayed at the the Hotel Taurus in the Vinohrady. The hotel was defintely a charmer. It was only minutes from Prague’s many gay clubs like Club Termix, Friend’s Club, and Escape to Paradise. There is also the detoxifying Babylonia.
The food in Prague was awesome, if you love a great bargain. Bílý Koníček for great pork loin in the Old Town square, and for Duck try: U Modré kahinčky.
These are my recommendations in Prague. And don’t forget to climb the hill to see the castle especially at night!
